Lancaster Hot Air Balloon Festival & Country Fair

The Lancaster Balloon Festival is a one-of-a-kind event in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, featuring dozens of big, beautiful balloons. You can book to fly during one of the fantastic mass balloon accessions or enjoy the spectacle from the ground! This family-friendly event is suitable for all ages, with good food and music in the heart of Lancaster Amish Country.

THIS EVENT FOR THE 2024 HAS BEEN CANCELLED

The Lancaster Balloon Festival Team regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2024 Lancaster Balloon Festival, initially scheduled for September 12–15. This is a tough decision. Due to much higher costs for almost every part of the event, this year is proving to be exceptionally difficult to produce the same high-quality event we have consistently provided for our guests and pilots for the past 13 years. We believe the best course for all is a one-year hiatus. We will take the next year to work with our existing partners and seek out new ones to help us reimagine the event and provide the best experience possible for 2025 and beyond. We want to thank everyone who has worked with us and attended the event in the past, and we look forward to having you back in the future! We’d especially like to thank our partners, Garden Spot Village and The Bird-in-Hand Corporation, for their help and support in producing past events and the future relaunch.

Our sister company, Lancaster Balloon Rides, will continue to offer rides in Bird-in-Hand throughout the year. Passengers who have scheduled with us can keep their date or reschedule for another. General Admission refunds will be available through Eventbrite or transferable to 2025.

We are sorry for any disappointment, and thank you for your understanding. We hope you will still visit Lancaster County this fall if you plan to join us. We look forward to seeing you September 11–14, 2025!
