Platte Valley Tailwinds Balloon Festival

• Mark your calendars, get the camper or tents ready or book your hotel for Father’s Day weekend for an extraordinary celebration at the Cozad Municipal Airport. Join us in supporting Hot Air Balloons, Car Show participants, and an Airplane Fly-in event all in one weekend scheduled for May 30- June 1, 2025.   Enjoy a fun-filled weekend with unique activities for persons of all ages. 

• The event will take place at the Cozad Municipal Airport (KCZD) and is coordinated by volunteers and funded by sponsors from the Dawson County area as well as a grant from the Cozad Tourism Committee. The following is an event schedule subject to budget availability and logistics.
